Korea Money Brokerage Corp. (KMB) (CEO Hae-young Woo) announces on the 14th that it delivered funds, jointly raised with the Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC), to support the welfare and self-reliance of overseas Koreans residing in Korea. 30 million won was provided to each of the following three institutions: the Incheon Sakhalin Korean Welfare Center, the Asia Development Foundation, and the Geumcheon-gu Family Center.

The Incheon Sakhalin Korean Welfare Center will use the funds for emotional and living support projects for Sakhalin Koreans. The center, where many elderly residents with dementia or mobility issues live, plans to alleviate loneliness and strengthen family ties through seasonal events and guest invitation programs. It also plans to replace aging industrial washing machines to provide a more hygienic environment.

The Asia Development Foundation will use the funds to support the self-reliance of Koryoin. Notably, the foundation plans to match the donation with an equal amount of its own funds. The project will provide basic and advanced vocational training in baking, linking certification to field internships to help Koryoin establish stable career paths. Both the Incheon Sakhalin Korean Welfare Center and the Asia Development Foundation also received 30 million won each last year, and this additional support will strengthen the continuity and effectiveness of these projects.

The Geumcheon-gu Family Center will operate the "One Talent per Person Project," an educational support program for immigrant youth. The goal is to help children from multicultural families develop talents, build confidence, and achieve emotional stability for successful settlement in Korean society.

CEO Hae-young Woo says, “The social contribution activities promoted are creating positive changes in the community by providing both emotional comfort and practical support. I hope the projects funded this time serve as a valuable opportunity to open doors of hope and opportunity for overseas Koreans living in Korea.”
